Terms of use
What you can expect from us, and what we expect from you, when you use the Sahi Hai app and website.
Who we are
Sahi Hai is offered by a mutual fund distributor registered with AMFI (ARN-371239) and a member of BSE StAR MF (member code 714077). "We" and "us" in these terms mean that distributor.
Who can use Sahi Hai
Anyone can read our lessons and use the money tools. To invest, you need to be 18 or older, have a PAN and a bank account in your own name, and complete KYC if you haven't before. We open an investor account for you with BSE StAR MF using the details you give us.
What we do, and what we don't
- We carry out your instructions to buy, start SIPs in, and sell Regular plans of mutual funds, through BSE StAR MF.
- We show funds that fit the answers you give us, using published rules, with the reasons and risks for each. This is basic guidance about the funds we distribute, not personalised investment advice. We are not a SEBI-registered investment adviser.
- Ask explains things and points to what the rules suggest. It doesn't tell you what to buy. It can make mistakes; check the fund page before you invest.
- Lessons and money tools are for learning. Calculators use assumptions they state on screen, and their results are estimates, not promises.
Your orders
Your payment goes from your bank to the fund house through BSE StAR MF. We never hold your money. Units are issued by the fund house, in your name. Which day's NAV you get depends on when the fund house receives your money: before 3 pm on a business day for most funds, before 1:30 pm for liquid and overnight funds. The app shows the expected NAV date before you pay.
Pay only from a bank account in your own name. Payments from anyone else's account are refunded by the fund house. Redemptions are paid only to your registered bank account.
SIPs and mandates
You can pause, change or stop a SIP at any time in the app. If 3 SIP instalments in a row fail, BSE cancels the SIP; the app warns you after each failure.
Fees
We don't charge you a fee to use Sahi Hai or to invest. How we're paid is set out in our disclosures. Each fund charges its own yearly fee, shown on its page in the app.
Your account
- Give us true, complete details, and update them when they change.
- Keep your phone, email and app PIN to yourself. Tell us straight away if you think someone else got in.
- Don't misuse the app: no automated scraping, reverse engineering, or using it for anyone but yourself.
Risk
Mutual fund investments are subject to market risks, read all scheme related documents carefully. The value of your investments can go down as well as up, and past performance may not be sustained in the future.
Our content
Lessons, tools, text and design on Sahi Hai belong to us. You're welcome to share links and your own results. Please don't copy our content wholesale.
Closing your account
You can delete your account at any time; here's how. We may suspend or close an account if the law requires it, or to stop fraud or misuse, and we'll tell you why unless the law stops us.
When things go wrong
We work to keep Sahi Hai running and accurate, but fund houses, BSE, banks and payment networks are outside our control, and markets move. We're not responsible for investment losses from market movements. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under Indian law.
If you have a complaint, follow our grievance process.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes go to the competent courts in India, without affecting your right to use SEBI SCORES or the Online Dispute Resolution portal.
Changes
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll tell you in the app before the change applies. The version and date are at the top of this page.
