Start smaller than you think
A target of ₹75,000 can feel far away on a first salary. You don't need it all at once. What matters is starting, and making it automatic.

How long to ₹75,000
That's 3 months of ₹25,000 expenses. Pick what you can put aside each month.
- ₹1,000
- 75 months About 6 years. A start, but raise it when you can.
- ₹2,000
- 38 months A little over 3 years.
- ₹3,000
- 25 months About 2 years.
- ₹5,000
- 15 months Done in just over a year.
Simple saving, before any interest.
Make it automatic
Set a standing instruction or an AutoPay to move a fixed amount on salary day, before you spend. Money you never see in your account is easier not to spend.
Speed it up
Put part of every bonus, increment or gift straight into it. A ₹10,000 Diwali bonus is more than 3 months of saving at ₹3,000.
When you use it, refill it
Using it is the point. After an emergency, pause other goals for a while and top it back up first.
Myth
I'll start saving once I earn more.
Fact
Expenses tend to rise with income. Starting with ₹1,000 now builds the habit that makes larger amounts easy later.
