Regular plan

A fund plan bought through a distributor. Its fee includes the distributor's commission.

Example

If the Regular plan's fee is 1.5% and the Direct plan's is 0.8%, the 0.7% gap is roughly what the distributor earns: about ₹700 a year on ₹1 lakh.
